Kochhar Hyderabad head VVSN Raju demerges to reopen own firm Juris Prime

Kochhar & Co Hyderabad head and partner VVSN Raju, who had merged his firm Juris Prime Law Services with Kochhar in July 2011, demerged from Kochhar in September.

Raju, who had joined Kochhar with a team of six lawyers, commented: “My association with Kochhar & Co worked out very well and both myself as well as Kochhar as a brand has grown together for past four years in Hyderabad market. But as I wanted to set up my own firm I have moved out of Kochhar & Co in a friendly and amicable manner.”

He is a 1993 Osmania University LLB alumnus and began his career in the chambers of Andhra Pradesh senior advocate M Narahari, moving on to in house stints with the IDBI and ICICI banks before setting up Juris Prime in November 2005.

Juris Prime its new form, after the demerger, now has one partner in addition to managing partner Raju, and seven other lawyers.

The firm’s practices include advisory work, litigation, contractual drafting, title investigation, documentation and dispute resolution in banking, corporate commercial law, cyber laws, employment law, project finance, infrastructure laws, Intellectual property and real estate.

He said clients from the banking and finance, real estate, information technology, infrastructure and manufacturing industries currently instructed the firm.

Kochhar & Co did not respond to an email for comment since yesterday.
