Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services (ILFS) group general counsel Pradeep Ratnam will be joining K Law as senior partner in Delhi.
He specialises in transactional infrastructure, finance and corporate work, and was previously also director and counsel of IDFC Project Equity and has worked in the UK with UK and US firms.
He graduated with a law degree from NLSIU Bangalore and holds an LLM from the University of Warwick.
Ratnam declined to comment when contacted.
K Law managing partner Naina Krishnamurthy was not available for comment at the time of publication.
His hire follows the departure of former Link Legal projects partner Ajay Sawhney from K Law in Delhi, who will be joining Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas we reported today, as well as Mumbai partner Praveen Raju last year who set up his own firm.
K Law has also hired Trilegal Mumbai counsel Krishna Venkat as a partner, reported Bar & Bench.
He had joined Trilegal in 2014 from AZB & Partners, having joined there from Crawford Bayley in 2012 where he was an associate partner, where he began his career in 2005.

Has Pradeep traded a job paying in diamonds to one paying in glasses, lets wait and watch? But there must be lots to learn in pvt practice too. The learning curve will be very steep esp. for one moving from the comfy corporate legal profession. All the best.
