Hammurabi Mumbai head Vidya Adsule resigns to-restart own firm

Hammurabi & Solomon Mumbai head and equity partner Vidya Adsule, who had merged her practice with the firm in March 2014, has left it in August 2015.

Adsule told /Legally India/ that her partnership with Hammurabi was dissolved amicably on 31 August because she had other priorities. She is currently practicing independently again at Adsule Law Offices.

1998-Mumbai University law alumnus Adsule had worked in government and private court practice and in-house, having last held the role of general counsel at Bombay Dyeing before briefly going independent and then joining Hammurabi.

She said that she had headed a team of five lawyers in Hammurabi Mumbai. It is understood that the firm is currently without a partner-in-charge in Mumbai.

Hammurabi managing partner Manoj Singh did not respond to an email request for comment since Wednesday.

The firm launched its Patna office recently and also has offices in Delhi and Ranchi.
