Sankhari: NLS to NGO to FML to AZB
Exclusive: AZB & Partners Delhi has promoted corporate senior associate and 2000 NLSIU Bangalore graduate Debashish Sankhari to its partnership yesterday.

Sankhari told Legally India: “I do feel that it is an honour to be elevated to partnership and I look forward to the challenging opportunities that lie ahead.”

He had joined AZB three years ago from FoxMandal Delhi.

After graduating from NLSIU Bangalore in 2000 he worked at the international non-governmental organisation (NGO) the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI) for three years, after which he decided to join the corporate law sector at Vaish Associates.

AZB Delhi managing partner Ajay Bahl said that he was keen to grow people and promote from within as far as possible.

Sankhari’s promotion, which was internally announced yesterday but will be effective from 1 April, takes the size of the Delhi office to around 18 partners.
