Juris Corp capital markets partner Sonali Sharma has left the firm, leaving only five partners after years of senior level attrition.

Sharma confirmed her exit but declined to comment further at the time of going to press.

The firm has seen two partner hires and nine partner exits, including Sharma, since early 2012. Litigation partner Ranjit Shetty, who was one of the two partner hires during this period, left the firm in December 2014 to join Udwadia Udeshi & Argus, as first reported by Bar & Bench in December.

Equity partner Mustafa Motiwala left to join Clasis Law in September 2014.

The firm’s Chennai head Hufriz Wadia, who had joined it in January 2013, left the firm in August that year. Wadia’s brother and Juris Corp partner of five years Hoshedar Wadia had also left the firm in March 2013, indefinitely and without an official resignation.

Litigation partner Anil Jarial also went on a sabbatical from the firm in March 2013, while Vandana Sekhri, Freddy Daruwala and Nisar Ookabhoy – left in early 2012. Of counsel Fraser M Alexander resigned in February.

This leave the firm with five partners including co-founding partners H Jayesh and Talat Shah, disputes partner Sandeep Mahapatra and Detty Davis and banking and finance partner Veena Sivaramakrishnan.

Jayesh did not respond to an email seeking comment.
