The inaugural match of the Sadgamya Cricket League, saw a team captained by an advocate beating a general counsel-captained team last weekend in Delhi.

The practitioners 11 won the first match in a series of five.

The practitioners won the toss and decided to field first.

The advisors 11, batting first made 128 in 20 overs, which the practitioners managed to chase in 11 in 16 overs to clinch victory.

The winning ‘practitioners’ team was captained by Advani & Co partner Shashank Garg, while Adidas general counsel (GC) Pulin Kumar captained the losing side.

Nishit Desai’s Moazzam Khan picked up man of the match, while Pernod Ricard GC Deepak Gupta saved more than 30 runs as wicket keeper, and Kochhar & Co partner Prabhu Tandon scored the most sixes.

In the Sadgamya Cricket League 2016 teams consist of legal heads of various companies and partners and other senior members of law firms.

Each team captain picked selected their teams in turn out of Sadgamya members from the roster of players participating in the competition.
