Married woman rights on ancestral property

My cousin is married in 1998. her father has got ancestral property from his father. she is liable to go to court for getting rights on ancestral property. Also her mother is a retired Govt. teacher who is a pensioner.
My cousin do not have any brothers she is the only daughter for her parents.
