There's a difference between confidence and arrogance. Confidence is when you say "I can do it." Arrogance is when you say "Only I can do it." Confidence can result in progress but arrogance is sure to result in downfall.

The number of comments praising one general corporate partner at link raises two doubts - either it's a plan to build a reputation for upcoming departure or if that is indeed the competence then why is the person concerned in LL and a pretty small practice? LL is essentially tier 4 as far as general corporate is concerned.

Kiddo wait until you face Manish (the person concerned in LL) as an opposite counsel.

I worked with this corporate partner for almost an year. He is definitely in a different league. I can guarantee that the support he receives here is well deserved.

LL-ILS has great people, it is just that there are not enough number of people in transactional practice. There are a lot of other people who do advisory work. Venky is probably the only other equity partner who has some sort of standing in transactional practice, and I am sure that his work speaks for himself. Milind does a few transactions too, but from what I have heard, mostly cap marks and nothing related to anything to do with Pvt Cos.

With the new guy in, I am sure that LL's corporate practice would improve, and there would be talk about the new guy as well.

Good luck everyone!

Typical fabricated response, no one knows in LL who Venky is as the person (you're trying to indicated) isn't called that. Funny to see solicited comments for this one person in all LL posts.

Venky says you do not even know me because if you did you would have called me 'sir'.

Anyway, Venky you say, eh? I have been out to lunch ever since I gradated, don't you think?
