S&R, Indus, OMM, A&O on Partners’ $270m CSS Corp buy

S&R Associates and O’ Melveny & Myers advised Swiss asset managers Partners Group in buying 80 per cent equity for Rs 1,620 crore ($270m) in US-based IT services company CSS Corp from existing investors SAIF Partners, Sierra Ventures and Goldman Sachs. Citibank Hong Kong were the lenders to Partners Group.

IndusLaw advised SAIF Partners and Sierra Ventures, Allen & Overy (A&O) advised Citibank Hong Kong and CSS Corp was advised in house.

S&R Associates partner Sandip Bhagat with associates Sudip Mahapatra, Dhruv Agarwal, Amy Bharucha and Srishti Gupta and O’ Melveny & Myers’ Siew Kam Boon acted for Partners Group.

IndusLaw partner Suneeth Katarki with associates Rashi Saraf and Winnie Shekhar acted for majority shareholder SAIF Partners and minority holder Sierra Ventures.

Allen & Overy partner Gautam Narasimhan , senior associate Daniel Abercromby and associate Snigdha Nahar acted for the Citi.

Partners Group’s investment is one of the largest this year in India's information technology sector after Bain Capital's $1bn deal with Genpact and KKR’s acquisition of Aricent for $900m, reported the Reuters.
