Thomson Reuters, advised by Khaitan & Co, has bought Bangalore trading software company Omnesys, advised by Samvād Partners. AZB & Parters and Vaish Associates acted for minority investors.
The buyer Thomson Reuters was advised by Khaitan & Co, with partner Rabindra Jhunjhunwala and associate partner Niren Patel leading on the deal.
Executive director Daksha Baxi and partner Sanjay Sanghvi assisted on tax, Bangalore partner Rajiv Khaitan on real estate, and associate partner Adheesh Nargolkar on intellectual property.
Samvad partner Siddharth Raja advised Omnesys and its promoter Shrikant Pandit, who holds more than 60 per cent in the company according to the Economic Times.
Vaish partner Martand Singh advised Dotex - a subsidiary of the National Stock Exchange - and AZB Delhi partner Gautam Saha acted for Intel Capital Mauritius which hold 26 per cent and 12 per cent in Omnesys respectively.
The company makes software for high frequency trading of currencies and securities.
