Being an insider, i would suggest you get an LLM from any foreign univ. that looks better on your CV, relatively.
Oh definitely chalega. Known means people should have heard it, the HR should not be like "yeh kaunsa university hai?"...central Universities, IITs, IIMs & NLUs for the legal circle are all well known. But more than that your work ex will definitely be more looked at.
Known University means IIT KGP chalega ? Or should it be from a top NLU?
Placement ka chodo. I already have an LLB including IP as a subject. I also have work experience of 1 year. I wanted to know whether that IIT KGP LLM in IPR would look good on my CV for Tier 1 recruiters?
I would suggest you make a shift while working. T-1 only recruits LL.B candidates for the Patent dept. Don't regret after you come here.
NO placement. Good only for LL.B. Prefer NLUs / TISS/DU/SAU.

Being from a non-tech background, you cannot get a job.
Yes. Experience & an advanced specialised degree helps. I was practicing tax at a local tier 2 firm & then went for an LLM in taxation. This helped me join a T1. However make sure the LLM is from a known university and your work ex is real.
I am an IP professional at a Tier 3 . Will an LLM in IP from IIT KGP help me get an entry into IP teams of Tier 1 firms?
