So, I am an HR in a company. I have a legal background but never really pursued law. So one of the new joinees who is still in probation seems to be stirring a lot of controversies. I have a lot of friends in the legal industry and when I tried getting some info on this candidate, my friends came back with zero. Like legit zero and this has never happened before. My friends mentioned that their sources were extremely tight-lipped about this candidate and kept mentioning to write to the HR. We do have a background check done through a third party and nothing has popped up. So this gets to my question, are law firms legally bound to disclose to an enquiry report by any company about a candidate? Can they choose to be silent about a POSH case/ misconduct or whatsoever and just do an ATR?
