Sure, maybe IIT people grads create and manage technologies which adds crores to corporate revenues, but you also need lawyers to ensure the govt doesn't over-regulate these technologies or other companies don't steal the IP behind these technologies, which will defeat their purpose. Plus, to carry out M&As when these companies merge, plus handle tax bills worth thousands of crores. So why should lawyers be paid less??? If the highest domestic pay for IIT is 1.5 cr shouldn't it be at least half (75 lakhs) for NLUs?

Seems unfair and weird. The job market needs to correct this.
Any 10+2 passed with 45% can acquire a law degree. it is one of the easiest tasks.
Well, I mean, if they had science in 10+2, they can also arguably acquire an engineering degree even easier.
Only one maths in +2 is much more difficult than entire 10 semester subjects combine in law.
Dude everyone knows that these numbers are totally inflated. Post deduction and taxes they are paid less than 75 thousand a month
From 1 Cr+ CTC to 9LPA in-hand? Bhai kuch toh high quality ka hi fuk raha hai tu.
I don't even feel like presenting a reasonable argument to this bl*ckhead of a person. Sheesh bro, what you smokin?
We are missing an important point. The high salaries paid to IITians in India are by international companies. By contrast, NLU students can only be recruited by desi law firms as there are no international law firms here.
Mainly because a software engineer can possibly add incredible value through a company through development. Easily possible for a fresher to help develop a feature that brings the company crores. Whereas at a law firm, even if you are the most skilled lawyer, you aren't going to bill and add to firm revenue that much more than a average recruit
Because IITian's understand in and out of tech atleast those who get these 4cr package cause tech will play such a big part in solving all the big problems that world is facing example environment etc.
