Anything I post will be moderated. That should answer your question.
Let’s just say that no one has seen them in any noteworthy litigation or real estate deal for a long while. In the corp side they are very average. Nothing to write home about. There are far better places to join.
D&D is a great place to work at. Broad spectrum of work, many large Indian and global clients and a good, non-toxic environment. If one gets the opportunity to work with Vishwang Desai, they should consider themselves fortunate. As many successful Partners is large firms and GCs at a many prominent funds, banks and companies will agree, they wouldn't be where they are if it wasn't for the mentorship from and opportunity to work with Vishwang Desai.
I talk to interns and they say D&D feedback is always much better than fir other firms, too Tier 1s.The main one is that D&D is not as greedy as say a CAM,L&L....it makes their lawyers and law knowledge much better and clients seem more satisfied whereas at many Tier 1s the clients are just thoroughly unhappy visible to an intern also.
Avoid, unless desparate. The firm is not looking to grow, work is as usual but amount of work is less, and accordingly pay is less compared to other law firms. Join only if you also want to shift to T1s in the future.
You should work with Devika Cariapa. He is the best partner to work with and you will have an exceptional learning experience in life!
Ashlesha is also one of the leading lawyers and working with her will teach you about life.
