A good lawyer reads the world and writes it all.

I read a lot of history and classical fiction.

Same I read about roman history, specifically those character sketches by Publius (or some guy I forgot his name), they really give you great insights. Alexander and Napoleon were great figures to read about as well. Classical fiction surprisingly teaches a lot about life.
