I have clinical anxiety, and I was undergoing therapy for the same for two years.
I joined an IP boutique around 2 months ago. The work life balance is pretty decent and my supervisor seems to be understanding as well.
But the firm has changed a lot in these two months- several associates have left, the people who joined in positions similar to mine have also left, there's a change in policies as well. There has been sudden hiring-firing as well. Overall, everything seems very uncertain at the firm.
I think it's getting a bit much for me. I feel like I am not equipped to handle all of this.
On top of everything, my physical health has been rough, due to which I have had to take a few unplanned leaves. And I might need to take a few more in the coming days.
I feel extremely lost and kinda disappointed in myself.
Maybe a law firm isn't the right place for me? Maybe I am not cut out for this?
Anyone who has anxiety issues and is handling the same while working in a law firm, please suggest ways in which I can try to cope.
Take a sabbatical if you can afford it. It will give you time to think.
