Most Law Students in India are delusional idiots. Never ever compare an IIT with NLU. IIT degrees are valid and useful across the planet. Your LLB? Only in India.
Hey stop being a sad cuck, the purpose of law has always been jurisdictional. Technology on other hand has been global. There is no nlu v iit debate.
This is what even he precisely meant. He never intended to degrade an nlu, but rather to chose enlighten those an nlu degree makes you global, which it hardly does.
Always easy to tell who failed JEE miserably and didn't get enough affection from their homes as a result.
Have a spine, man. I'd rather be at NALSAR than a socially underdeveloped place like IIT-B which invites rioters and claps when people ask for reservations to be stopped.
Err... That's your personal preference, but your degree will still be valid only in India.
NLUs are state universities. State universities cannot set up campuses abroad, only central univs can. You need NLU nationalisation for that to happen. An #NLUNationalisation movement was actually started by NUJS students many years ago. Meenakshi Lekhi (an NUJS parent) even introduced a bill. But NLSIU, NALSAR and NLUD did not wish to join NUJS and preferred to maintain the status quo. Also, NLSIU went and filed a petition claiming that only NLSIU is a national university and the rest are state university. The Karnataka HC ruled in favour of NLSIU. An NSLIU alum and ASG (Vikramjit Banerjee) argued the case in support of NLSIU. A petition is now pending in the Supreme Court and its outcome could either pave the way for NLU Nationalisation (at least for NLSIU) or doom it forever. NLSIU alumni are also arguing this case.

In the meantime, JGLS, as an IOE, has the power to open campuses abroad. There was some talk that a campus in Oman (where Naveen Jindal ran a subsidiary company called Jindal Shadeed Iron and Steel ) could be established one day. However, after the pandemic struck Naveen Jindal sold Jindal Shadeed for $1 billion . Also, another problem is that JGLS teaches very woke courses on sexuality and LGBT rights, which might not be welcomed in the Middle East (unlike IIT or IIM, which teach ideology-neutral courses). However, if only courses like LLM in baking law/ tax law/energy law/IP law etc are taught, that should be ok.
Why will people leave India to study at an Indian college in a far off country where they may not even want to work long term? It might make sense if we opened this in say Australia or UK
I request honorable PM Shri Narendra Modiji to establish NLU Arunachal Pradesh at earliest
