The stairway to heaven opens at RGNUL. If Bassi said "a law degree is a 5year vacation", then we at RGNOOOL my friends are the hospitality industry of this entire vacation. Parties, seggs, pegs, girls, guys, AC rooms, big green campus with bushes to hide, everything you're teenage hormones need, we have at this place. Oh yes you can always pass exams 2-3 days before the dates while jerking whole semester and in any case 90% of the batch litigates or prepares for sarkari exams, so might as well have fun these 5 (possibly 6-7 depending on your level of fun) years.
The only good thing about NUJS hostels is that as a student, you more or less 100% freedom to do whatever you want, without much in the way of rules or enforcement thereof.
- Single Rooms from first year - The admin has finally allowed us to keep ACs (Some wiring work is still left tho) - I get 400 Mbps on hostel LAN (Wifi routers are officially not allowed but almost everyone installs one) - The rooms are big with a balcony, we get an almirah, bed, a cloth drying stand, a fixed study table and a chair by default. - The hostel is cleaned everyday by the staff, they can even clean the rooms (Broom and Mop) if requested. - Bathrooms are cleaned thrice a day atleast according to the SOP. (Once a day toh definitely)
NUJS is a slum but there are many nice apartments, houses and PGs in saltlake which you can rent with your friend or gf for reasonable rates (you can tell the landlord that your GF is your sister or cousin).
It is a slum only if you are an entitled brat. Which you clearly seem to be. Sure, the conditions can be improved, but plenty of people find it acceptable enough to do what they have come to law school to do.
Nalsar has no AC, but we do have a wide variety of snakes in the rooms, and other assorted, (occasionally venomous) wildlife, great if anyone is zoologically inclined.
1. Whether single rooms given - NUJS (2nd/3rd year for girls & 3rd/4th year for boys) 2. Whether AC (Only in the dorms) 3. Whether good wi-fi - yes 4. Size and quality of the rooms - depends on configuration 5. Cleanliness - depends on how much you bribe and who the floor dada/maashi is 6. Whether bathroom cleaned regularly by staff - daily
