Some law firms have foreign offices like Khaitan & Co. has a Singapore office, Majmudar and Partners and NDA have in NYC etc.
Do you get placed there? How is the working there? are they actual offices?
I am actually curious.
These are marketing offices for sourcing work. Senior folks are stationed there (and not more than couple of lawyers are based out of such offices). Work mostly happens from India. If you are relatively young in profession, don't think it will happen for you and if it does, the learning will be very different as you may become support staff for the little legal work done by such partners.
Anyone can start a Singapore/New York Office in 2 days. It's not a big deal.

You can get a registered office with fancy address (Manhattan/Orchard Road), Phone attender and other services at Rs. 2000 per month.

Most Indian Law Firms have dummy offices (with no staff or a namesake person) in Americas and East Asia. They are just meant to show that 'we are global'. That's all 😂
Cost is actually closer to 1.5 lakhs per month, roughly. Other info is correct.
