A0-A3 are hired for grunt work! Doesnt matter what practice area you join.
Bhai no Corp practice worth its salt has minimum DD work. No good team is going to staff A0s for complex corporate advisory or documentation. A0s are not a value add in this process. Due diligences though boring habituates young resources to absorb a huge volume of data in a limited amount of time with very little margin for error. Something which is a big part of the profession.

If you really don't like this kind of work then just pick a different practice area such as lit or IP.
Competition law does not have dd work. Go for it mate. Also ignore the frustrated seniors above. I totally get you.
In my initial years, DD helped me understand risk identification and preparing DD reports helped me learn risk management advisory. You will learn more about how deals happen from DD than you can imagine. It's grunt work only if you don't understand the importance of the exercise.
