Chose a funny heading but basically never seen beyond 10 LPA in the family, and will now be earning much more, especially if I manage to stick it out in the profession. Cannot relate to batchmates whose money will be more pocket money-ish for the first few years or who don't have to support a family. Well aware that I have no idea how to manage money, taxes, invest etc. I know there are a lot of resources out there but nothing seems to start from the very basics, so if anyone has a resource list to share or any tips, would be so grateful. Want to prepare to use my time and money a little more wisely. Thank you all and happy new year!
Bump, I am a 2nd year but I want to start long term investing too. How should I start?
Bhai yeh saab investing mein maat padh. A simple Google search or even Quora would reveal that 95 percent of the retail investors lose their money in the market.

Bump. I really don't get the hype around investing in stocks. Especially I feel that it's overglorified by these ads. Does it really work out?

I would be wary from investing in stocks right now, market seems like taking a downturn. I'm not an expert so this prediction could be completely wrong.
