What should I read in order to prepare myself for tax law practice, the bare act in itself seemed daunting to me prima facie.
What sections, provisions, regulations, blogs, technical distinction and such sort of peculiarities do I need to make myself aware of?
Understand the concepts. Like for e.g., understand the five heads of income, how each functions within the framework of IT Act, how a tax computation works etc. Only then, try to read the act or caselaws. Else, it won't make much sense. If you get the basics right, then building upon that becomes easier since the jigsaw will the fall in place and you will realise how the other concepts radiate from the core principles.

If you read bareact without understanding the concepts, you will never understand tax.
