Is it possible for a law firm associate to shift laterally to a PE shop? Has anyone ever done this?

Even with an MBA, I guess, chances of making it to a PE shop are less for a law grad because PE shops generally prefer IB/Consulting prior experience.
It’s tough for investment bankers world over. In India even tougher, for lawyers it’s probably impossible. Try switching to a boutique m&a firm or an investment bank then apply for pe jobs it might work. Pe also has an unwritten rule of only taking in kids younger than 30. So make sure you do it all before you turn 30.
Is it possible for a lawyer to shift to an Investment bank?If yes, could you please tell a little bit about it?
Also pe investment in India is also very little so there are probably less than 5 openings a year.
Ik a Former Indian lawyer who works in PE (Indian market ) after a European MBA .
That’s good you know, can you share details how did he go about it? Or share his details.
