The only criticism of Modi could be that he waited too long. Air India etc should have been privatised in 2014 itself. Taxpayers money cannot be wasted on these white elephants. It's time to privatise as much as possible and as soon as possible. Those opposing are the ones who have wrecked the Indian economy (Congress through Nehruvian socialism, Left and TMC through communism and populism in Bengal etc). Remember also that Air India and many PSUs were originally private and wrongfully taken away by Nehru and Indira.

The only ones happy if privatisation in India is stalled will be corrupt politicians and babus, China and Pakistan. Is t's time we support Modi on this count.
Yes, we can totally see the booming nature of the economy under Modi. Only a handful of people are profiteering and the rest are struggling to get ends meet with rising inflation, prices of everyday things, unemployment, falling deposit interest rates and so on.
Is that something that happened only after Modi took over? Were we living in more egalitarian times before this? Not saying that it is any good under Modi, but grow up and read news from a historical, trajectorial lens for once.
Actually, it has definitely worsened under Modi, with foolhardy steps like demonetisation breaking the camel's back. Economists have actually said so, you don't have to rely upon my 'non-historical' opinion. And when a government comes into power citing the very problems of the opposition that it is making now itself, then one wonders how some educated people continue to support the economic decisions of the government despite having been proven wrong every single time. If you wish for the country to be a polarised place with Hindutva reigning supreme and are supporting Modi because of that, then that's your choice. But one shouldn't say that the decisions taken by him are helping the country financially or economically. Even people from the industry are afraid to criticise his policies, because the moment they do, they will be dubbed anti national and harassed with regulatory muscle.
Just to add to this, we are currently ranking 101 in the Global Hunger Index out of 116. Only 15 countries are worse off compared to us, with all our neighbours faring better. Soon we will reach 116 rank too if this keeps continuing, because Modi hai toh mumkin hai!
We are 101 in Hunger Index because money that should have been spent for food was spent on Air India.. So blame Nehru, not Modi.
The problems you point out are structural to the indian democratic apparatus (yes modi has hyperbolized it). Properity due to liberization has been enjoyed by the few. Our economic policy has been constant more or less constant since 1991 with liberalism and it's symptoms.
I dont think politics in India is as simple as BJP = pro privatization and Congress = against privatization.
LPG reforms were introduced during Congress govt and how can we forget BJP's opposition to computers when Rajiv Gandhi wanted to revolutionise India’s communication.
Nehruvian socialism ended with Indira Gandhi. Rajiv was capitalist.
It was congress in 1991 who opened up the economy in 1991 not kar sevaks in shakhas. It was under congress that we were fastest growing large economy in the world in UPA1 not uneducated kar sevaks.
See if the PM really needs full support as you say, I don't think writing anonymously here is gonna get it.
Bhai credit de hi rahe ho toh demonitization, migrant crisis of first covid wave and downplaying the second wave and mismanagement during second wave ka bhi credit de do, amongst other things (like WB elections fought in his name, etc.).
As a resident of Bengal, I wish all the elections here would be fought by the BJP in Modi's name. It would be perfect for ensuring that they never come to power in this state.
