Book recommendations for understanding contract law in depth? I am a working professional - some interesting books either on Indian or English law or any other suggestions would be great!

Thanks
Indian Contract Law

Avatar Singh- For the basics
Mulla- Only for reference. Very voluminous.
Halsbury's Laws of India- Provides more in-depth analysis compared to Avatar Singh.

English Contract Law

Anson's Law of Contract
Chitty on Contracts
Koffman and Macdonald's Law of Contract
Treitel: The Law of Contract (Use it as a reference book)
Start with Anson on Contract Law, move to Cheshire and Fifoot's Contract Law and if you still have appetite then Trietel on Contract Law.
For an American flavour read the Restatement of Contract Law, 2d by ALI editors.
There is no good book on contracts by Indian authors (Pollock and Mulla is more to find cases in footnotes and current editors are no good), so don't bother finding one.
I would suggest you to go for Law of contracts by RC Srivastava. I got a better understanding of contracts by this book only. Found it to be better than Avtar Singh.
