what does an offer letter from a Tier-1 firm look like?
And what's the scene in india - can we negotiate salary, ask for different office etc.? considering that the offer letter came on my email, do I reply to the email or call the HR regarding any concerns/negotiation?
The offer letter, if you read between the lines, usually reads - "Welcome to hell, you're gonna be miserable, but you will act like you will love it".
There is no negotiation for fresh hires out of college, at least in Tier-1s. You can't raise any concerns, just say thank you and send confirmation on email. In some firms, you won't get an offer letter at all and directly join. Enjoy the hellish ride.
