How is Christ University Bangalore for law ? Is it really a jail like how students say it is ? What about faculty quality and help the administration gives ?
The "help the administration gives" is evident from the reports about how they handled the sexual harassment issues and generally tried to suppress any voice the students had. Read: https://www.legallyindia.com/convos/topic/176173-sexual-mental-harrasment-you-faced-at-christ-university-share-your-experiences

The interns I've had from Christ are also, frankly, not as good as their peers from other colleges. Yes, I know it's a personal thing and they may not truly reflect the complete picture, but my point is different - it's no different than your any other run of the mill college (e.g. any from IP University), so no point moving to a different city, spending the extra bucks, when you could be at a similar place and probably interning alongside for the actual learning.
Well, may be the sexual harrassment case was not handled in proper manner (or handled in a very bad and shameful manner), but I tend to differ on the last paragraph. I graduated from tier I NLU and I've seen students from Christ while I was an intern or where I work now, they do have talent and tough competition amongst them. I am not cherry picking and bunch of students but I've seen Christ excel in moots as well, but due to some reason it doesn't come out in public.
I have always noticed that what ever is against the crowd on LI, even if it is true (or is a fact) is down voted and bullied, badly.
Placements have improved and college has worked towards getting students placed in Firms and Inhouse.

But yes, it has its own demerits such as attendance etc. However, building your own ladder will take you ahead and there are ample opportunities which the college will provide such as moots, sports, etc.
You can check the PDF details (don't know what it's called) on the NIRF ranking page, by clicking the link next to the college name. It has details of the students who got placed.
PS- it's better than NLU Assam or likes. You can check the facts.
lol just admit that RCC never disclosed placement stats for so many years. Now thanks to hard work of alumni who worked hard and got placed on their own, got contacts and got firms on campus. RCC has done a great job only for the last 2 years.

There's no harm in denying both the bad and good.
I am a 2019 graduate from Christ and currently working in Delhi in a tier 1.

Placement- it has improved. Many go for litigation practice/LLM but there are students who get placed (on campus/ off campus, off campus is at the higher end) and the number has increased exponentially from 2018 till date. Credit goes to the placement committee.

Location- Bangalore has ample opportunities, with law firms, litigation practice. Weather is

I am not sure if this got censored. The chat thread has been reduced to half for 1.2
Not sure what you are referring to. Haven't censored anything on this thread I think. Can you tell me the issue you are facing?

Oh that! Well the 2019 Graduate either took an ad break and will come back or resume or got called away before he could finish his thought or gave up midway thinking life is too short for this. I didn't edit it. The weather is one of the key reasons for people to prefer Bangalore is what I think he was trying to convey.

Its good if you are from Bangalore and want to have a balanced college experience. If you're moving towns for it, you'll hate it as there's not really much to do since the hostels and acco (at least on the main campus back in my day) are outside campus. So there is not much space for socialising without spending money. College can be miserable in these cases.

Academics wise, the library is really great. Law teachers are average but the role of a law teacher is never to teach you law. It is to annoy you so much that you go look up the law yourself. They are good at that.

Don't rely on your college for placements. Its a great school actually to spend five years at. You just have to manage your expectations.
I applied for LLM in Christ sometime back. The process involved an interview by a faculty member. On first glance I thought the college seemed impressive. However, during the interview process the faculty member said that the salwar suit I was wearing (because it was sleeveless) was too immodest to be worn in college and that I should pick my wardrobe more carefully. I got the hell out of there and have never looked back. It seems to be a college with a very regressive mind set which should be avoided.
Faculty members commenting on the degree of modesty of students' attire should be booked on the ground of sexual harassment. A couple of convictions and people will start getting the message loud and clear. I speak as a faculty member who would rather stare at students' work to figure out how to help them make it better, rather than staring at their clothes.
This is not me but my friend, she had passed the written tests and all other rounds, I am not quite sure as to the process but she was wearing a long kurta with jeans without a dupatta. The interviewers who were suppose to interview her stopped midway to point out that her dress seemed inappropriate and is too explicit and she should dress up accordingly in educational institutions that are the centre of values. She ran the hell out of there and rejected the admission though she got in. Imagine middle age men commenting on the so called modesty of minors i.e. young women of 17/18/19. This is definitely a bad sign

Also considering the sexual harassment cases that have cropped up recently you should read about it

A major other demerit I have heard about Christ is the attendance rule which is about 99% (not sure) either way considerably high, giving the students very little leeway as to their own discretion or any other forthcoming circusmtances which do not allow them to attend.
