Why do you think everything is being privatised? Unfortunately capitalism brings development (only for the privileged though). Scandinavian socialism is great and public institutions have done great but India’s socialism is a failure. The government has understood this and hence the fdi in everything. Atleast for the state of india, i can see everything being privatised and only rare public institutions surviving through it all

The answer is simple: professional management, forward-looking admin, smart faculty. Compare with NLUs: a total clownfest. Sudhir has brought in some change at NLSIU, but much more needs to be done.

i agree w the clown part, most of d unis today are run by clowns, nlu being no exception

If NLSIU gets INI status, it can also attract such funds.
