To the person who reported this comment - LI doesn't mark anything interesting or controversial. That is done entirely based on the up down vote.

NLSIU/NALSAR/NLUD/Jindal: bro/G/mate

NUJS: Bhaiya or "da" for Bengalis

NLUJ, NLIU: Bhaiya

GNLU, NUALS, RMLNLU, HNLU: Sir

Based on what I know.
Went to NALSAR. Was never referred to, or referred someone, as bro/G(?)/mate!!!
NUJS: Lot of people here call seniors just by their first names. Da is more like an endearing suffix in Bengali.
Nobody calls bhaiya in NUJS. "Da" is for the local people - shopkeepers, working staff etc.
Went to HNLU. Never called sir or mam.

You do you in every damn law school. 💃🏻
How are the 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM classes treating you? (Assuming youre still studying)
That is absolutely not true.I’m in HNLU and I address my seniors by their first names or Bro/Mate.No one will ever insist or force you to call them bhaiya/didi/Sir/Ma’am
JGLS is probably the only law school without a senior-junior hierarchy.

I haven't come across such an instance. Seniors are generally referred to by their names or whatever is the regional term (Chetta, bhaiya).
NALSAR - boys tend to call senior boys bhaiya, some address them by their name and no one cares. Boys address senior girls by their names, all girls address everyone by their names only.
And would that be a deciding factor for your law college references for clat 2022 or another weapon in your arsenal next time you argue on long twitter threads why Xanalu is better than Yanalu.
In any case can't help
- batch of 25, seniors se baat nai hui to can't answer bhai
Everyone calls everyone by name at NLS. Some people do refer to seniors as "Bhaiya" but that's something that they personally choose to do. No one at NLS forces/wants anyone to call them "Bhaiya" and it's a pretty chill junior-senior dynamic
Sir? Calling seniors as sir is such a horrible move. I am a 5th Year - I have asked all my juniors to call what they want.

In my law school people often call regional names to seniors (who are also from thier states) - Anna, Chetta, annayaa, bayya.

Do any seniors asked to be specifically called anything?

NO Way.
Wait till some of you join law firms. Some of them have the sir/ ma'am culture. Just call your partner by name a few times to see your career plummet.
