I think Pranab Mukherjee came to nalsar when I was there; but I could be totally imagining this as I was quite high throughout.
Can confirm that both APJ Abdul Kalam and Pranab Mujherjee came to Nalsar. Bonus: I was in the student body and got to be like an escort for Mr Mukherjee. What an amazing person! He asked me if I could help him with his gown and adjust the convo hat. With shaky hands I helped him out and really awe inspired in being in the same room as the President. All this while the officer from Army (aide-de-camp) who accompanies the President at all times was eyeing me. I was like one mistake or a sneeze and at a drop of a hat this guy would kill me. I was a kid... Hehe nice days :P
NUJS: Amartya Sen (Menon's tenure), Joseph Stiglitz (Chimni's tenure), APJ Abdul Kalam (MP Singh's tenure) and nobody after that during Bhat, Talukdar and NKC's tenure, even with Abhijit Banerjee and Esther Duflo visiting Kolkata regularly.
Why do you open your mouth without having accurate info? Kailash Satyarthi visited and delivered a lecture during PIB's time.
NALSAR had a whole bunch of ICJ judges and other people come down for a conference in 2017 or 2018.
They were neither Heads of State nor Nobel Laureates. But, if I recall correctly, it was the International Law Commission meeting, which was a big thing nonetheless.
The post clearly asks for information, not a declaration of victory. Your lack of following clear one-line requests is appalling, to say the least.
Of Nobel Laureates? Sure they do, plenty of alumni act as if they have all won at least one of those in life.
Jindal tops this particular ranking: Amartya Sen, Kailash Satyarthi, Pranab Mukherjee, Dr Abdullah Abdullah of Afghanistan and Fouad Siniora of Lebanon. Also Dalvir Bhandari if you include ICJ judges.
This comparison is not relevant. Obviously Amartya Sen and Avijit Banerjee will come to NUJS as they are from Bengal. It doesn't prove anything.
Not Bengal's fault that most of the nobel laureates are from that state.
