is doing LLB with a CS programme beneficial for a a law student? It has been said that doing CS with a law degree adds to your CV and helps in getting placements, internships and other corporate jobs.

So, to what extent is doing CS in side with LLB course is beneficial for placements and securing corporate jobs even after law school?
Useless if you want to work in a law firm. Might help if you want to work in house.
CS certainly helps with certain knowledge. And some exams e.g. Solicitors exam. It is certainly a worthwhile thing to have. But it comes with the risk of being sidelined or typecast at firms etc. Where because of your CS knowledge u may end up getting lot more diligence and therefore not have time to be involved in depth into deals.
