Hey guys, I have a rank in the 300s and was expecting GNLU in the first allotment list, but today when the process started we found the list to be very bizarre. Only 19 unreserved non-domicile general seats out of 174? How can that be possible? Last year's first list shows 70 such seats and the last rank to be 457 and this year it's showing less than 11% of the total seats to be unreserved and last rank 353. The official websites show no changes to the seat matrix from last year. Also, the NLIU Bhopal List seems to be odd in similar ways with around 30 out of a total 114 unreserved. Has anything like this happened before? Seems like a major screwup and would affect every college list after GNLU but would like thoughts and opinions and guidance.

One possible reason may be that CLAT institutions have put seats for OBC and EWS reservation this year onwards. These seats can not come out of any other reserved category, and therefore may have eaten into UR seats.

Just a guess. Best you write to the University and CLAT and get your clarification.
