Singh & Associates- Manoj K Singh's office has sent a office wide email asking everyone to return to Delhi/Gurgaon and join physical office from 21st June. This comes as a shock to many as situation even though is improved, but is still worse. Specifically in Delhi where we all saw what was the state a few weeks back. In such times when work from home model was doing well, it's an absolute shame that Mr. Manoj K Singh doesn't care about his employees at all. Most of the people aren't vaccinated with one dose, let alone 2 doses. Pathetic attempt to show that their offices are functional and running. Shame.
If only they could concentrate on retaining its people rather than posting numerous job vacancies on every portal possible. What's the point of hiring so many people when you can't treat them with basic respect?
Somewhere on LI conversation threads only I had read a couple of weeks back that Manoj Singh's firm cut people's salary for going back home during wfh. They expected everyone to stay in delhi ncr. Specially in april may when situation was so bad. And people were threatened with termination also. Now this. Extremely sorry state of affairs.
Absolutely inhuman. The daily covid cases now are still touching lakhs, situation is a bit better but certainly not improved. No point in forcing people to come when wfh model works fine
The firm never had good intentions for its employees. Kept the office running till mid April even though situation was worsening. So many associates had covid but it didnt
The firm doesn't have regard to people's safety. Kept the office running till mid april when situation was worseing. Threatened associates last year to either come to office or resign. Associates kept getting covid but it didn't matter to them. Only when 2 partners got infected in april did they decide to shut down offices.
This comes as a shock when we see news of the mighty Mr Manoj Singh doing so much for covid relief (beds, oxygen and what not) and then doing this to his own employees. Guess everything is just a PR stunt nowadays to show on linkedin. Reality is this. Sad. Shameful
This is the firm famously sued by Pratibha Singh's IP firm Singh & Singh for illegally free riding on their name and stealing foreign IP clients. Also for hiring a secretary called "Pramita" and sending emails in her name to create further confusion among foreign clients 🤣🤣🤣🤣
What's wrong in calling people back? Almost everyone living in big cities now has got one vaccine dose and will get the second dose in June/July/max August. I don't know a single person who has not received at least the first dose. The cases have also sharply declined. If everyone in the office has got 1 dose, if everyone wears a double mask at all times, if everyone carries a hand sanitiser and washes their hands regularly and if everyone maintains a two-hands distance, what's the problem exactly? Don't forget that WFH was always temporary and cannot be a permanent feature.
Cases have surely declined but still 85-90k cases is a lot. Also instructions are there to operate offices with 50% staff. Will Singh follow this? Ofcourse not. They never followed it last year, now also they aren't gonna follow. Also have you seen how the office operates? No regard to social distancing and masks. The boss herself doesn't wear a mask, tells people to remove their masks and then speak as she can't hear them. Everyone eats together without regard to social distancing, and has team meeting in closed spaces. Covid protocols are a big sham in this office.
Yes but the temporary feature can go on for some more time right? If wfh models are doing well, then there's no harm in pushing it for some more weeks.
Hate to break it to you but this is how Indian law firms work. You must demand liberalisation and a National Judicial Service from Modiji so that you can escape from them.
This is sad. No regard to people's health. Parents must have been so worried. The Business Development team of this firm doesn't stop to publish stories about its founder Manoj Singh doing so many things for covid relief, fighting cases for beds, funding oxygen cylinders, this and that and at the end for its own people what does he do? This? Haha shameful. What a sham of a law firm.

The name of this firm has always evoked mixed feelings within me. While I made some very good friends there, I also got to know the ruthless environment that exists in the firm. Many freshers join the firm in the hope that they would get to learn arbitration and litigation but the reality slaps them hard when all that they are required to do is printing, photocopy and making list of dates.
The firm has a new game for the past couple of years. It hires 40-50 people in a batch, thus showing on social media platforms its huge number of placements. Goes to NLUs and other colleges really early on in the placement season so students sit for this and ultimately get caught in their circus. How many of them are remaining after 1 year? Hardly a few. Easily destroys young freshers' precious one year. Toxic environment, pathetic work culture and no learning.
I agree with you. Pathetic work environment with no learning and growth. Only people who are still here are Manoj Singh's relatives who have no choice but to he here. You stay here for 2 years they will make you senior associate. Stick here for 4 years they will make you partner. Because partner and everything is just a designation. No body has any power. There's no substantial increase in salary also. Only power lies in 3 people (top management)
Kian you should ask Mr Manoj Singh for a comment on this. Since he and his firm are so keen on maintaining their public image, maybe they will reconsider this.
Last year we faced the same situation /problem whatever you call it... They don't take their employees and their health seriously! All they care about is the ostentatious display. If they had cared for their employees I would have been still working with them. But it's suffocating to even think how insensitive you can be to your employees and their well-being. Delhi witnessed a horrendous scenario couple of months back and these people don't care what happened and what could happen in the future with third wave a certainty...!
60% of the firms employees are not from Delhi The fact that they will have to take flights and trains in this situation to come back is appalling and unnecessary.
The work from home pattern is actually benefitting the firm more. Nothing in any manner whatsoever is being affected and work has been going on in full swing. To the point of actually being so toxic that people are being called up at literally midnight to work with no regard for one’s health and personal space. The management is messed up and time lines are unrealistic. People may be unwell or may not have slept in 2 days but the pressure is never taken off them.
The seniors in the firm believe in staying up all night and that’s what slowly and steadily everyone’s being wired to do. There is no work life balance.
All top tier firms have smoothly transformed into the WFH mode till the situation is safe but don’t know why Singh and Associates is so eager.
If someone from the firm is reading this- please ensure work life balance for your employees and let them get some sleep and a life.
This is sad. Seeing stories of how Delhi becomes during surge of covid cases, this is surely gonna create panic and serious scare amongst the employees. Honestly there was no need to rush into opening the office so soon.
he is only interested in money, nothing else. let people die or their family member but "show must go on", still remember when one employee raised voice having small kid at home and he was asked to leave.
I remember one senior who sacrificed his precious early years of life for him. He was standing wid Manoj singh in all his ups and down. Later he also left due to false ego tantarums of Manoj singh and vhimcial HR policies. Majority of his tenured staff has left him due to this reason only.
