You obviously. Else why read and post? Or did you post without reading?
Fantastic news!! If 1,000 alumni give an average of 1 lakh each, that's 10 crores to spend on infrastructure.
Several star alumni donate very hefty amounts to Law School quite regularly. Fake news @hmm
I heard a few new puppies have been born too on campus, during COVID times.
Yes, they are named Covishield and Sputnik. No Covaxin because that's just too desi. Pfizer and Moderna are on their way.
And what are you, Sudhir's first full time LI PR guy? How do you guys pop up out of the woods like clockwork every time he so much as breathes loudly, claiming it's the calculated mastermind of the century?
Whatever gets cooked in that fabled pressure cooker, becomes a gourmet meal.
Other NLU VCs have undertaken alumni outreach activities as well. GNLU had a pan India and overseas alumni connect program in 2019-20 with reunions organised across the country. More power to Sudhir but not every alumni connect move needs an LI thread of its own.
Funny you use Tendulkar's example. He was a cricketer who didn't care about the team, was a match-drainer, was no fun to watch, not as explosive as Sehwag, Ganguly or heck Kohli. Fulfilling self-goals for his own selfish ends. Does NLAT ring a bell? How curiously insensitive and brash can a person be? You talk of class, when minions or clueless first years keep running their mouth about the college's inane new developments? Alumni Officer - Jesus. It's not like the other colleges are doing nothing. It's just that they don't care about LI commentary- or do not invest enough in PR. God, you're full of baloney.
Who said anything about Law School? That is still intact in Massachusetts. Unless Sudhir concocts a plan to ship it to Nagarbhavi, there is no "Law School" in India. The fact that you even called it that shows no class but bombast.
Wasn't it a name suggested for convenience throughout the document? The other being 'law university'? Kya lame old boys club ka privilege-holder banega re tu.
Also, aren't you "replying"? Where is your class? Don't tell me you're not from NLSIU, Nagarbhavi after typing out that comment. In our part of the world, we call it a rebel without a cause.
The law school is so good that now they want to think for us as well!
Thought was invented in Nagarbhavi circa 1986. Before that, people used to just randomly point and grunt.
Congratulations, I hope you get a medal for this, as you seem to need the support. If Sudhir doesn't do the needful, we will pitch in, don't worry.
it is quite a good step, systematic alumni engagement is an important part of building the reputation and brand of an institution.
The amount of hate Sudhir gets on LI is shocking. He by far has the best educational qualifications and international experience of any VC. He is the only VC to have revamped faculty and hired alumni, other than JGLS. Yet all he gets is hate. I am not sure if these are actually students or outsiders who are just trolling.
It's so cute that you are trying to pass off the hate the you are rightly getting to Sudhir.
All Sudhir haters will be kicking their backsides when NLS tops the NIRF and QS rankings (Asia) in the next 2 years. Likely to happen as there is going to be a huge faculty exodus from JGLS, NALSAR and NLUD. Those wanting to leave are impressed with Sudhir's vision and support they will get from Law School
NIRF ranking should be out this month or next month. The haters and trollers will be on holiday then.
Do the alumni play any role in the appointment of a VC in NLUs?
The alumni of NLUs are interested only in interfering in the governance of their own alma mater. And in some NLUs they act like a syndicate or mafia with the help of some disgruntled faculty and senior students staying on the campus.
