RamJet breaks up with NaMo over appointment of 'totally unfit' CVC

Senior counsel, Rajya Sabha member and former BJP law minister Ram Jethmalani tweeted, “my breakup with the Prime Minister”, attaching a letter slamming Narendra Modi’s choice of KV Chowdary central vigilance commissioner (CVC), who was appointed earlier today.

In his letter Jethmalani wrote to Modi: “My diminishing respect for you ends today.”

Both Prashant Bhushan and Jethmalani have both opposed Chawdary’s appointment, for his previous alleged involvement in “criminal activities”, according to Jethmalani.

He was previously chairman of the Central Board of Direct Taxes, and had previously been involved in investigating the 2G scam and cases relating to black money stashed abroad.
