HNLU places 29 graduates in jobs, with Chhattisgarh ministry hiring half, law firms most of the rest

HNLU: Students & ministry steps up
HNLU: Students & ministry steps up

HNLU Raipur placed 30 29 out of 81 graduates in jobs this year, with more than half of them joining the Chhattisgarh Law & Legislative Ministry, which was the biggest recruiter on campus for the second consecutive year.

Out of the 11 students placed with law firms, five bagged pre placement offers (PPO), including from Big Six law firms Amarchand Mangaldas and JSA. None of the Big Six recruited from campus.

Legal process outsourcing (LPO) companies Pangea3 and Quislex took the next biggest chunk of recruited graduates, with four joining the LPOs in total. Pangea3 was the only recruiter that visited HNLU two years ago.

Two graduates enrolled for an LLM and one joined PRS Legislative Research.[UPDATE 21 August 2014: PRS Legislative Research has informed us that it has hired noone from HNLU]

NUJS Kolkata and Nalsar Hyderabad rivalled each other’s placement statistics for this year’s graduate class whereas RMLNLU Lucknow set a new institutional record and Nuals Kochi placed one-third of its graduating class this year.

Editor’s note: We are reaching out to other 2014 recruitment committees who have now graduated. NLU Delhi’s and NLSIU Bangalore’s RCC have not yet responded to us despite repeated calls and emails over the last month. We remain hopeful that RGNUL Patiala, GNLU Gandhinagar, Christ Bangalore and NLU Jodhpur will disclose soon. Please get in touch with us atto arrange sharing the final figures.
