Indus Law advised old client and online marketplace Snapdeal’s parent Jasper Infotech in its $100m (Rs 590 crore) second round of funding from US-based BlackRock Financial Management, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund Temasek, Hong Kong-based Myriad Asset Management and Tybourne Capital Management, and Azim Premji’s Premji invest, reported VC Circle.
Blackrock and Myriad were advised by Trilegal, Amarchand advised Premji, while Samvad Partners advised Tybourne Capital.
Indus Law Bangalore partner Srinivas Katta acted for Jasper having also advised on its round of funding from eBay in March.
Amarchand Bangalore partner Arjun Lall acted for Premji Invest.
Trilegal Mumbai partner Sridhar Gorthi, counsel Kunal Chandra and associate Kabeer Mathur acted for Myriad, and Mumbai partner Nishant Parikh, counsel Gautam Singh, senior associate Arun Anandaiah and associate Arjun Sharma acted for Blackrock.
Samvad co-founding partner Vineetha MG, senior associate Apurva Jayant and associate Anirudh Srinivas acted for Tybourne.
Jasper and rival Flipkart are battling Amazon for ecommerce supremacy in India and are therefore aggressively looking for fund infusion, reported the Times of India.
