Trilegal hires senior Big 4 lawyer Himanshu Sinha as partner, promotes Neeraj Menon internally to lockstep

Trilegal has hired Deloitte counsel Himanshu S Sinha as a partner in its direct tax practice in Delhi and promoted infrastructure counsel Neeraj Menon to its partnership.

Menon had joined Trilegal in 2008 and specialises in infrastructure and energy, having worked at Reliance Energy as a senior legal officer until 2006, followed by two years at I&S Associates, having graduated in 2004 from Symbiosis Law School.

Sinha is a 1992 law graduate from Campus Law Centre of Delhi University, a 2001 Chevening Scholar at the London School of Economics (LSE), followed by an LLM in international taxation at Harvard Law School in 2004.

Before joining Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu as counsel in 2010, he was a partner at Associated Law Advisors from 2007-2010. He began his career at the Government of India’s income tax office, rising to additional commissioner of income tax when he left in 2007.

Trilegal converted into an all-equity lockstep partnership in 2012, shortly after splitting up with Allen & Overy as its best friend firm.
