Former DSK Legal partner Jagvir Singh will join HSA Advocates as the third partner in the firm’s project finance practice on 16 August, while also focusing on banking and corporate work.

Jagvir Singh began his career in the ministry of finance, government of India in 1992 where he stayed for 13 years, as a customs and excise officer.

In 2006 he joined FoxMandal Little for two years and in 2008 moved to DSK.

He completed a postgraduate course in intellectual property (IP) law from the Indian Law Institute in 2004 and an LLM in corporate and commercial laws in 2005 at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) of the University of London.

HSA managing partner Hemant Sahai was not available for comment at the time of going to press.

DSK Legal Delhi partner Balbir Singh commented: “He has moved in pursuit of his personal growth and we wish him luck.”

HSA Advocates has a total of 15 partners now, out of whom nine specialise in corporate and M&A and three in project finance and banking, according to a press release from the firm.

The firm hired two partners from BMR Advisors to start an indirect tax practice last year and a partner designate from Fox Mandal this year to head the technology, media and telecoms practice.
