JSA, Hogan Lovells on GlobalLogic's buy-out of Indian software company

J Sagar Associates (JSA) and Hogan Lovells have advised software research and development (R&D) services leader GlobalLogic on its acquisition of product and content engineering company Rofous Software.

JSA partners Lalit Kumar and Trisheet Chatterjee along with associate Namita Bahri led for GlobalLogic on the Indian leg of the transaction while Hogan Lovells’s Washington-based partner Stuart A Barr and associate Stacey P McEvoy advised the company on the US laws.

The seller Rofous Software, which is a Hyderabad-based company having clients such as LinkedIn and Stryker was represented by its in house legal team.

According to JSA lawyers the transaction included resolution of complex regulatory aspects in acquisition of shares from the existing promoters of Rofous Software.

GlobalLogic hopes to expand its base in India with the value addition of content engineering to its software R&D service portfolio offerings.
