SNG, Desai & Diwanji forge David Brown-Bharat Forge JV

SNG & Partners Delhi and Bharat Forge’s in-house team structured the joint venture (JV) between Bharat Forge and engineering company David Brown Systems to produce gearboxes and transmissions.

SNG partner Amit Aggarwal, principal associate Saroj Pandey and senior associate Devyani Dhawan advised David Brown, which is part of the UK’s Clyde Blowers Group.

SNG’s mandate extended to structuring the transaction, reviewing and finalising transaction documents and preparing the constitutional documents of the JV company, according to the firm.

Desai & Diwanji Mumbai-based associate partner Natasha Treasurywala asssisted Bharat Forge’s in-house team on the transaction.

Bharat Forge senior vice president legal and company secretary Beejal Desai and and Ashish Boradkar were also providing legal advice for Bharat Forge, which acted through its subsidiary BF Infrastructure Ventures, according to Mint.
