The Bar Council of India (BCI) will publish the first All India Bar Exam (AIBE) results tonight or tomorrow (17 March), said BCI chairman Gopal Subramanium.
“We are either announcing tonight or tomorrow on the [BCI] website,” Subramanium told Legally India today (Tuesday, 16 March).
He said that no password would be required to access the results and that the web link intermittently available today and requiring a password was not correct.
Legally India reported last week that the BCI chairman and solicitor general said last week that the results would probably be published by 16 March.
Update 17 March 18:39: Bar exam convenor Gopal Sankaranarayanan reportedly told legal news site Bar & Bench that the results would be declared via a press conference on 19 March between 12 noon and 3pm.

That link above is NOT necessarily the link that the results will be published on.
And GS said that NO password will be required. I assume it will be a downloadable PDF document, as in the case of the rolls of candidates, etc.

If all you are getting is a password screen then presumably the results are not up yet.
How come they have published it in New Delhi alone? Shouldn it be a common declaration of result?

Oh! it should take hardly fraction of a second. BCI gave all the omr sheets to RAJNIKANT for checking..

I am frustrated since the day BCI declared AIBE..I have passed LLB like I have done a short term computer course..5 years LLB was like a paid vacation for me..now passing AIBE is like crossing the pacific ocean by swimming for me..plz have pity on my situation brothers..I am really frustrated..

If it is so spontaneous why there are so many Writs before diffrent Courts all over India and BCI wilfully trying to evade them.
If they really want to upgrade our legal system , Why so much hurry ?
There are more serious legal issues needed to be resolved first and these may be done in phased manner.
No official word or update so far.
Either the results will be published today or I guess it must be some sort of internal miscommunication and they will be published in due course therafter.
It could be that the BCI ran into last-minute technical difficulties, needed to re-check some invalid papers manually (remember Florida Gore v Bush?) or could have been a host of other reasons.
Hard to tell - we'll keep trying to get through and to get an update but right now I don't know any more than anyone else here, sorry...

Speaking to Bar & Bench the Convenor of the AIBE, Gopal Sankaranarayanan said, “The AIBE results will be declared on March 19th through a press conference between 12 noon to 3:00pm”.
Talking on the Chennai Bar exam, Gopal said, “The ranking will be subject to Chennai results”.
The AIBE finally took place on March 6, 2011 with a 96 percent attendee, with the exception of Chennai’s three centers which saw violent protests from candidates. The Chennai exam is now being held on March 27, 2011.
It appears the result announcement has been postponed. Although there is no official verification from the BCI chairman, it does seem reasonable results will not be coming today.

no brother, I am from tripura govt. law college. but why did u ask me that? As far as I know ILS is a very good college.
Thus, the results being declared without any press conference by GS is highly unlikely. The press conference would just be used as a tool to gloat for his actions and to hide the inactions by the BCI which is evidenced by the haphazard manner in which the BCI introduced and conducted the AIBE for the 2009-2010 batch and what proceeded in conjunction with the same such as the delay in exams, admit cards, material etc.
In light of the same, the suggestion is to just stay calm and patient. Wait and watch for all press conferences that GS would be in. Thereafter consider the results being declared. It all depends on GS's availability.

I asked you if you were from ILS because my friends from ILS tell me the same thing..5 years of vacation in ILS..its a hopeless college....just a farce that it is a good college...no faculty, no resources...apparently they have one lady teacher who teaches all the subjects for which the college cannot manage a faculty..
They are granting affiliation to all colleges and then trying to put caps on students ~ Are not they playing double standard ?
Give them time to publish result after much precaution unless it may be a major concern for students.
So Plz keep your mind cool.
thanks..but I have some friends in ILS who r extremely brilliant & I heard the cut-off is also fairly high in that college for admission.my those friends r placed in some companies & firms in bombay & delhi.they never said me this was the reality of ILS!!

So it sounds like they are doing some final manual checks on the papers and they'll be out by tomorrow.
Is BCI is doing something against them ?
If not there will be no reform at all.
the press conference nonsense is just to gain mileage.
However, a press release has been promised by email so we will alert you when we receive it or when we get other news from the conference.

if so i cn understand what must be the reasons that u guys arent attending it.
and secondly, what would they discuss in press conference from your experience/sources?

I would assume that the conference is taking place, since the BCI told a large number of journalists about it and I did not receive a cancellation.
From experience, I would assume that they will talk about how the exam was a success, they will probably announce how many per cent passed and maybe what will happen to those who failed.
Chennai will briefly be mentioned.
Mr Subramanium will probably talk about his plans for future reforms for the country, and then there'll be a Q&A for 15 minutes or so.
I assume that a printed press-release and materials will also get handed out.
And that will probably be it.
I can't be sure that the individual grades would be available for download after the PC - it would be logical to assume they would be - but maybe there will be some technical difficulties and it will take longer.
