Vaish does $198m Enercon windmill sale to CLP

Vaish Associates Advocates has advised wind turbine manufacturer Enercon for the supply of wind turbines and associated facilities worth $198m to CLP India for the development of two greenfield energy projects in Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Hong Kong-based CLP's Indian subsidiary CLP India's in house legal team transacted for the company.

Vaish Associates corporate and infrastructure partner Martand Singh along with corporate head of the firm's Bangalore office Vikas Keyal led for Enercon while CLP's legal team consisted of advocates Sudipta Ghosh, Eshita Mohanty and Nabeel Saleem.

Singh said that the firm had advised on an aggregate of 1200 MW of wind energy projects this financial year.

CLP’s wind energy portfolio stands at 638.8 MW with the completion of this deal, out of which Enercon has already executed 500 MW.

"The 102.4 MW Sipla wind farm will be located at Jaisalmer district in Rajasthan, and the 50.4 MW Narmada Wind farm will be located at Nallakonda, Anantapur district in Andhra Pradesh. CLP India has entered into agreements with major wind turbine manufacturer, Enercon India Ltd, to develop these greenfield projects," reported the Business Standard.
