Punjab & Haryana HC bar exam writ stayed until 1 December to wait for apex court

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has again deferred the bar exam writ petition hearing today to 1 December citing inability to take up the matter in view of the ongoing Supreme Court proceedings and transfer petition.

When asked for clarification on the legality of the All India Bar Examination petitioner law graduate Fatehpal Singh said he was told by the court that it was duty bound to let the apex court decide on the issue.

The court observed that they could not offer any clarification until the matter was before the Supreme Court.
