The Uttar Pradesh High Court is due to rule on 24 September on who owns the Babri site where a mosque was destroyed in 1992 by Hindu activists claiming the site was the birthplace of Hindu god Ram, which sparked sectarian violence causing 2,000 deaths, reported the AFP. As both sides expect a favourable judgment, there are fears that violence could again erupt.

Regarding SC order in RAM mandir/mosque case in Ayodhya he said that Smt Sonia gandhi ji is very intellgent and can suggest to all the parties interested to develop spiritual and Godly feelings in Ayodhya that they should agree to make Ram mandir since it satisfies the sentiments of one religion who after getting freedom from the slavery of Muslim and English kingdom after thousands of years have deep feelings for their beloved Rama the great whom they worship and the Muslim community may agree to construct the mosque atleast 1 or 2km away from the temple towards Lucknow so that more and more visitors could enjoy the Grace of God who through the sentimentally constructed mosque and the Rama temple.
