Good client: AZB, Simpson Thacher advise KKR on rs 750 crore Dalmia Cement stake

AZB & Partners and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett have reprised their joint roles for private equity house KKR in its Rs 750 crore ($166m) investment in Amarchand Mangaldas-advised Dalmia Cement.

This follows KKR's investment $75m investment in Coffee Day Resorts only one month ago, on which Simpson Thacher and AZB also advised.

AZB Mumbai partners Essaji Vahanvati and Ashwin Ramanathan advised KKR, with a number of global Simpson Thacher partners.

Amarchand Mangaldas Delhi partner and real estate head Inder Mohan Singh advised Dalmia.

KKR has invested over $1.1bn in India since 2006.
