Luthra in 23 lawyer hire, student PPO rampage

Luthra & Luthra has made 10 pre-placement offers (PPOs) to final year law students at three national law schools. The firm has also hired six lateral associates, with the fresh batch of seven new law school graduates now starting.

Today Luthra & Luthra has made five PPOs to students from National Law University (NLU) Jodhpur. In the past week the firm has also made PPOs to four students from NALSAR Hyderabad and one student from National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bangalore.

Delhi's M&A corporate team has seen the arrival of associate Neha Priya from Amarchand Mangaldas and Khushi Mishra in Delhi from Cambridge University, where she had completed an LLM after working at Amarchand.

Siddharth Srivastava will be joining as an associate from Columbia Law School where he had completed his LLM, prior to which he was at Indian infrastructure development company Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services.

Mumtaz Bhalla has joined as a litigation associate in Delhi from the law firm of Arun Jaitley, who is also BJP leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha.

In addition, the following recent LLB graduates have joined the firm after offers were made to them in last year's recruitment round.

Vinay Kesari in Delhi and Sneha Jha in Mumbai have joined from NALSAR Hyderabad; Purva Singh in Delhi and Raghvendra Kishore Singh in Mumbai have joined from National Law School of India University Bangalore (NLSIU); Arunava Mukherjee in Delhi from National Law University Jodhpur; Vivek Agarwal has joined the Delhi office from Delhi University's law school; and Pallavi Rautray has joined Bangalore from Symbiosis Pune.

As reported on Legally India yesterday, group heads Ashwin Sapra and Piyush Mishra, also joined from a US in-house pharmaceutical company and Allen & Overy respectively.
