Background
History
Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab was established in 2006 by the Punjab Government vide Punjab Act (12 of 2006).
Location
The campus is located on Bhadson Road, near the village of Sidhuwal. It is about 10 kilometres away from the city center.
Administration
The current Vice Chancellor is Dr Paramjit Singh Jaiswal who has previously served as the VC of Hidyatullah National Law University and has been the head of the law faculty at Punjab University, Chandigarh. The ceremonial post of Chancellor is an ex-officio post held by the Punjab and Haryana high court Chief Justice. This position is currently occupied by Justice Shiavax Jal Vazifdar(2015). The registrar of the university is Dr GIS Sandhu who has served as faculty at Punjab University.
