Justice AK Ganguly resigned as West Bengal Human Rights Commission chairman today, reported IBN Live citing sources.

Ganguly reportedly met West Bengal governor MK Narayanan in Kolkata to submit his resignation.

Senior counsel and ex-attorney general Soli Sorabjee told The Hindu yesterday that Ganguly had told him that he was considering resigning, after the presidential reference to remove him was cleared by the Cabinet last week.
