Biggest Indian renewable deal with Cyril Amarchand, BMR Samvad on SunEdison Continuum wind power buy (TOI carries deal report) [UPDATE-1]
Samvad partners promoted senior associates Ashwini Vittalachar and Apurva Jayant to the partnership effective 1 April, taking its total number of partners to 9.
Delhi-based Vittalachar handles general corporate, M&A, private equity and employment law work at the firm. She is a ULC Bangalore 2006 alum who joined the firm in 2007 after completing her LLM from the University of Chicago’s law school.
Mumbai-based Jayant handles general corporate, M&A, private equity and banking and finance matters at the firm. She is an NLSIU Bangalore 2007 alum and had stints with Amarchand Mangaldas, AZB & Partners and JSA before joining Samvad in 2013.
Tatva Legal advised US-based technology company Brillio's subsidiary Brillio Technology in buying data analytics start up Ashley Marketelligent, which was advised by Samvad Partners.
Tatva partners NK Dilip and Raghunath Anathapur and senior associate Rashmi Talukdar acted for Brillio. Samvad partner Neela Badami acted for Ashley.
The deal is the latest in a list of recent M&As by technology companies in India, with Facebook buying Little Eye Labs and Yahoo snapping up Bookpad this year, reported the Economic Times.
